How to setup a bitcoin donation page
Engage a new base of cryptocurrency donors with a fast, secure, and inexpensive payment method.
Accept bitcoin donations for your non-profit
Accepting bitcoins for a good cause is slowly increasing in the world. One of the biggest advantages of bitcoin is the fact that the transaction costs are very low or even zero when they are received and when they are spent. In recent decades, donors have become increasingly critical about the fact that not everything benefits those who are entitled to it. For example, bank charges are a thing of the past with bitcoin transitions. The transaction of bitcoins also goes faster than transferring money via traditional banks and you have nothing to do with fluctuating exchange rates internationally.
Why we recommend Bitpay
Donate a Bit is an independent organization, but we do recommend using Bitpay. In the first place for the safety of our small organization. We can not check every organization whether they operate legally. Bitpay is a larger organization which has more manpower to control this.
Bitpay has also the following advantages:
- Easy integration. BitPay provides donation buttons and hosted donation pages for your organization on our site for no additional cost.
- No price volatility. The price of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash goes up and down, but your organization will receive exactly what your donors give.
- Keep donations in your local currency. Keep your accounting simple by settling into the currency of your choice. BitPay offers USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, and five other currencies
