Helping Local People In Crisis.

About Manchester Central Foodbank

Manchester Central Foodbank was founded in 2013 by a group of students connected with the Manchester Universities Catholic Chaplaincy who were passionate about tackling food poverty and making sure that those in the local community experiencing emergency food poverty would be supported.

Since then they have operated out of the Catholic Chaplaincy on Oxford Road, primarily serving the local community of Ardwick , Longsight, City Centre and parts of East Manchester.

They run sessions 3 days a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am – 12 and accept donations at their warehouse Monday – Friday. Get in touch to find out more!

Manchester Central Foodbank Mission

They don’t think anyone in their community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
