About WeTrust
WeTrust is building a variety of products under the mission of financial inclusion and leveraging blockchain technology for social good.
Their first product is a Trusted Lending Circle (TLC) platform, inspired by the ~1 billion people around the world who are using informal TLCs or Rotating and Saving Credit Associations (ROSCAs) to lend/ borrow, and support each other financially within their communities. On top of Trusted Lending Circles, The platform plans to build future products that include sovereign credit identities, trusted direct lending, mutual insurance, and more. Trusted Lending circles can be found at tlc.wetrust.io.
Their second product is Spring, a directory of nonprofits that accept Ethereum donations. With over 40 organizations listed, The Platform has been able to bridge the gap for nonprofits into the cryptocurrency world. The Platform has implemented fundraising techniques such as E. Glen Weyl’s liberal radicalism, donation matching with crypto whales, and the use of non-fungible tokens as donation rewards. WeTrust Spring can be found at spring.wetrust.io.
Their third product is CryptoUnlocked, a platform for proof of impact fundraising. By leveraging the decentralized oracle powers of Realitio, CryptoUnlocked allows for crowdfunding pools to be awarded to developers or organizations according to the outcome of real-world events. It is a fundraising platform that enables accountability to be built-in to the grant making and funding of public goods/ non-profit/ open source initiatives. Conditional contribution, or the ability to fund aspirational goals with the condition of being refunded if the goal is not met, is a vital missing piece in the puzzle of funding for a diverse array of projects.
